Makeup and hair for red dress.?

im going to a sweet 16 on saturday night and all the girls are wearing short cocktail-like dresses. i have no clue what makeup to wear to match it because the only makeup i have ever worn is mascara haha. so yeahhh i have brown skin but not realllly dark, black hair, dark bbrown hair., and im almost 16. if you could include pictures and instructions that would be great..because im soooo clueless on where to put the makeup and such haha.

and for my hair....its medium to longish, black, realllly wavy and frizzy. what should i do with it?? i cant wear it naturally and all down cause it looks bad lol. and if i straighten it, the humidity in the dance hall we're going to will make it pooff....so yeah haha. the dress is halter style btw.

THANKS SOOOOO MUCH FOR HELPING!!!!!

For your hair: If your hair is wavy I wouldn't fight the texture and straighten it because it'll look unnatural, and maybe to stuffy. First towel dry (Gently-the more you pull, scrunch and tug, the more your hair will be "frizzy" not soft) hair after you shower and apply a volumizing mousse through it. (I would try herbal essences "Body Envy" it smells really good, works well). Then blow dry hair with a diffuser if you have one and scrunch it up lightly. Pull hair up into a loose bun, or half up with a few face framing pieces. You can even define your waves with a large barrel iron if you wish.

For your makeup: Since your dress is red I would suggest a red for your lips as well, it'll look really cute. Pic a deep scarlet, and then keep the rest of your make-up minimal. Line your lashes (Under if you wish as well) in a black liner, and add plenty of volumizing mascara. Put a nude shimmery shade on your lids, a soft berry on your cheeks (Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush work well I hear) and you're done. And you might want to first make sure you're wearing a good foundation, because the red will bring out any ruddiness.

Red dress?? UPDO! Light make up.some eye liner, reddish/mauve lips

Makeup and hair for red dress.?

cuz it matches

Makeup and hair for red dress.?

Red is a sexy color so you should feel sexy in it. Make everything very elegant and simple. Natural makeup and style ur hair up. I work at a salon so i work with these kind of things

Makeup and hair for red dress.?

heya im 16 too, your dress sounds nice if i was you id tie it up nice, maybe if you have a fringe or something let that loose or clip it back so it creates a sorta mohikan [you no what i mean lol] and when its tied up curl the ends of your hair.

for make up, as the dress is a bright colour id do the makeup quite natural, just a bit of mascara and eyeliner [do a smokey eye makeup effect] and llipgloss

hope this helps

If your dress is red, don't wear too much make-up, just a little lipstick and mascara. Hair? Wash your hair, comb it while it's still wet, then put some mousse on it(well...a little bit more), DON'T comb it again, just dry it(or let it dry by itself), and again, don't comb it. That's it! You'll be able to wear it all down and look great.

Makeup and hair for red dress.?

Smooth updo and black (water proof mascara) and either shiny clear lip gloss (your lips have a natural beautiful tone) or a Revlon's Champagne of Ice lipstick (it's a pale frosted pink shade)

You are a young lady and your makeup shouldn't be too over the top.

Try Pantene products for your hair.

Black smokey eye, mascara tryy it!, and slight redish/clear lipgloss! I tink this would look amazing. And for the hair put anti-freeze on it ( you can get any cheap good brand at any local store) and apply when its wet, then dry it, and last straighten it!

It should look really cute altogether!

\4 schruncy get your her damp (mist it)and take it in your hands grap let it fall abot 3 times for each bunch for the updo curl it a little cuz its naturally wavy and pen it up with clips.or put it in a bun.were black or red mascara.red eyshadow black or red eyeliner light red or dark pink blush.and cherry red lipcolor with a top coat of clear gloss.were red pumps unless you alreay have shoes

Makeup and hair for red dress.?

Makeup- Red or Clear Lip Gloss, Shimmery White Eyeshadow, and Black Mascara

Hair- Put it up in a cute ponytail

You should definitely wear your hair up in an up-do...it sounds like you and your friends are going for an elegant, evening look. For makeup, I think lining your eyes with black liner and using black mascara would look good. Some kind of soft eyeshadow not to far from your skin tone for just a wash of color. I'd stay away from red lipstick...red comes is so many shades and it would be easy for red lipstick to clash with your red dress. Go for a neutral lip gloss...brownish bronze or nude.

ahhhh..ur 16..u dont wonna look like ur asking for some.. :-)....lots of mascara...were goin to make u look natural but plenty of mascara for the smokey eyes ok...

step 1. brush blk mascara from left to right on ur eyes...this will make ur eyes looks like it already have an eyeliner.

step 2.liquid eyeliner, very thing..line it with ur eyes (on top of ur eyelashes)

step 3.liquid or very soft natural color for eyeshadow...just to make it look wet.

step 4.brown eyeshadow will look realy good..not too much bcuz the liquid eye shadow will make the brown looks realy dark and last all night, then get a realy light eye shadow and brush it over ur liquid eye liner..itll just give a light color and make u look like u have a cat eyes..make sure ur eye shadows are even.. ;-)...

step 5. get a black eyeliner and put just a liltle tiny bit onto ur lower eyes....then get a small eye brush and brush it evenly...itll also just make ur eyes look smokey.

step 6. nutral color lip liner and shimeer lip gloss..

perfect! hope u try it 2night and c if u like how it look and maybe u can use my tip when u go to ur night out..u dont want too much make up bcuz ur dress is already red..its already bright..

i would totally go for a smoky eye look with some nude lipgloss. start bye applying light gray/silver eyeshadow starting at the lash line up to the brow bone, but no eyeshadow in the inner corners. next, apply a darker gray on the outer half of ur lids. try and slightly blend the two colors together. next, apply an even darker shade of gray/black/silver to the very outer corner of the lids and near the lash line. again very carefully lightly blend the colors together a little bit. then apply a tiny speck of white sparkly eyeshadow to the very inner corners of ur lids. next apply black eyeliner starting at the inner corners out. rather than a thick, lighter line, u want a thinner, darker line. then start on the bottom liner going from outer to inner. lastly, u always want dramatic lashes for a smoky eye and or a nighttime event. so since ur starting out just use more mascara rather than fumbling with false lashes. last dab on a bit of blush starting at the apple of ur cheek to the space next to ur eyes. lastly, apply a nude lipgloss and keep it in a purse to reapply later. i hope this helped!

no need to go this dramatic, but a good example:

makeup...i'd have to say nude lips with smokey eyes

First of all I want to talk about your hair. Medium long dark hair- so so beautiful! But I know how awful it can look if its frizzy and out of place. As a general rule, washing your hair should be done only once every two days- eventually you'll build up this immunity to not having to wash it so much, and your curls and your hair will love you for it. A lot of celebrities dont wash their hair for as long as they possibly can go. I am a model and the first thing they told me about hair was DONT WASH IT EVERYDAY

So you've washed youre hair, or you havent and your natural oils are making your waves look extra fab- put a curl enhancer balm into your hair with your hands, fingertips. You can get a wide variety at any drugstore. Try them out and you'll find one that works best for your hair.

For the night of the party, Id spice up your curls with a medium size curling iron and pin it back a little bit, but leave it down. (see picture link below)

As for makeup, it sounds like you were blessed with the characteristics to not have to wear a ton of colors on your face to look hot. Google pics of selma, penelope, alicia keys, all will give you a good idea of makeup ideas.

What I would recommend is buying a covergirl concealer (all covergirl concealers wont clog pores!) I use a tube of the liquid kind, I find it easier to blend into my skin. Dab a few dots under your eyes, the middle of your forehead, the bridge of your nose, and anywhere you have a blemish. Blend with your fingertips. I wouldnt bother with foundation, unless you like to wear it.

Get a smokey black eyeshadow that isnt sparkly, covergirl has a matte charcoal eyeshadow that would be sufficient. with the brush it comes with, just very lightly line the bottom of your eye, and blend it gently with your fingertip. Do the smae with the upper lid, except apply it as if it were eyeliner. A chocolate brown or, since you're wearing red- even a pink that matches the inside of your bottom lip could be blended to the upper lid area. Apply mascara.

Most important for this look would be lip gloss. a pink gloss, clear gloss, watermelon, whatever. Id recommend 'pout' brand, the bubblegum color, but they discontinued their line and I have yet to find a new lip gloss that I like as much.
