Should I get my hair layered?

It's dirty-blonde and medium length; a few inches below my shoulders. I'm getting it cut late this afternoon, so I need as much information as possible in a short amount of time. I'll most likely be getting my hair cut to shoulder length, possibly a bit above, and my hair is relatively thick, but not unmanageable. I don't know much about hair styles/hair products, but a few of my friends look good with shoulder-length hair and layers, so I thought I might give it a try. What do you think would be a good style for layers for me, or do you think I shouldn't get them at all?

I think that you should deffinantly get layers, they make the hair look more stylish and I am pretty sure that you will really like it. I would suggest getting thick choppy layers so they really stand out. You could also look on the internet for pictures of different haircuts, I do that when I am not sure what I want. I think that this way you could have a visual of what you want and you could even take the picture to the stylist and tell them that you would like what you see in the picture. I hope this helps!!!

my hair is like yours but my is dark brown. trust me you will love your layers but tell whoever does your hair to not cut it above your shoulders or else it is really short and you look 6 years old. hope it comes out well.

i think this question is best if left to the hairstylist. it all depends on the shape of your face as well as your hair texture. as we've not seen it before, we wouldn't know if it will work for you. however, hairstylist have been meddling with all kinds of hair everyday so they will know best. get their honest opinions, don't be shy to tell them what you would prefer and also to check if it would be suitable for you.

I think it'd be cute. And maybe side bangs too? I think it'd look nice. xD Ask the hair stylist whether it'd look good on you or not, but i think it would.

if it has a natural curl and suggests a shape on its own, it is ok to have long layers, .....otherwise it looks tatty if you layer it ... and it is too much upkeep to give it a shape
