ive seen this hairstyle (or color i guess) with medium length hair a lot lately and im thinking about getting it done, if only i knew what to call it!

the style is bleach-platinum blonde on the top and dark underneath ,to where you can see the dark hair everywhere but the blonde stands out ..the dark is more of the background..

i dont think that there a name for it i think all u need to do is go to the stylist and tell them !!!!! i love this style!!! its hott

i think some people call it two-tone, but the easier thing to do would be to tell your stylist that you want blonde on top and brown on the bottom :P

I would just ask for two seperate colors, some places have funny gimmicky names. Personally I would achieve this by bleaching the top section according to to how the hair is styled. This is actually one of the most time consuming parts of this process. The placement of the lighter color is very important to this final look. They would then bleach to the desired blond. I would not color underneath due to the fact that even dark blond naturally is going to look dark compared to the bleached hair. The top layer is "shattered" through in the haircut to expose the color underneath. You need a hip stylist for this. Try a Toni %26amp; Guy Salon. Best of luck.
