a fish tail ( i think its called) is really nice look for a prom also a french twist or a simple bun with a couple of pieces pulled down and curled with a curling iron, adding some little flowers like baby's breath to any hair style is a fancy touch and ribbons are a great look too you could even do a french braid with ribbons braided into it simple inexpensive and do at home-able

you can also look online or pick up a hair book at the library or the store to get ideas. Up dos are nice or even curly styles.I would get a look that wont be sweated out while your dancing and having a great time......so a nice up do seems to be the best shot.

i did mine at home for every dance. its easy if you have a couple friends over it makes it funner.

try putting separating the hair on the top of your head into about 3 sections. once you do that, you can either twist them into cornrows (not braided, twisted), or just leave them separated with a couple bobbypins. then once you do that, it looks pretty to just put your hair up into a ponytail at first, then take a curling iron and make ringlets, but sortof colapse (not really sure how to explain without showing) the curl into itself and pin it to your head. once you repeat that a million times (lol), then you should end up with an elegant bun with twisted top sections to dress it up a bit.

but the moast emportant thing is to just have fun and dont worry about your hair. its fun to get all dressed up but the real idea is to have fun dancing with some hott guy once you get there ;]
