Spiky hair?

i have moderately medium long hair %26lt;--(contradiction, i know) ... you can see me on; http://www.darkstarlings.com/display_pro... or http://bebo.com/iamtoby1kenobi . i have got no money to spend on hair products, i have some gel, some mousse and some VO5 styling wax. i want to know how to get my hair to spike up and not go flat within 5 minutes.. people have suggested got2be glued.. but i have no money, i have a big *** tub of "extreme hold" hair gel, but that just goes pfffft within 3 minutes. can somebody please help me. i wanna look a lil more like a rocker than i do, its really hard when your hair looks crap all the while. any tips will be gr8ly appreciated. :D

Spiky hair?

Spiky hair?

Well...you kinda have to pay for the hair gell if you wanna have the spiky hair! I mean unless you'd rather use Elmer's glue, but I'd imagine that'd be a bit of a pain =] lol i'd say just splurge on the got2b glued stuff, cause that works really well and your hair looks uber cute spiked...hehe. =]

Spiky hair?

Sometimes too much product will make your hair heavy and tend to fall. Try the gel on damp hair/let dry or blow dry using just your finger tips pulling it up while drying or hang your head down while blowing it. Then when hair is still a little damp, put a little wax on your fingertips and pull through hair in whole strands. (do not rub in entire head or scalp) If your ends are too dry; run your fingers under water while you have wax on them. Do not brush your hair--you will lose the spikes.

Of course, I hope you have the right cut to spike your hair. It needs to be razor cut by someone that can thin it out. Good luck. It really does take practice to get the look you want!
