How to look good?

i'm 13/14. brown eyes.(girl) reddish brown hair medium long cut straight across. it tends to frizz up and is somewhere between wavy and curly(tending toward wavy). skin is light, slightly tanned, but with some freckles along the nose. and i use glasses (usually i use contact lenses, but don't suggest i get the colored/tinted lenses) what colors could look good on me and what about make-up tips? i'm not particularly pretty. and how can i straighten my hair without an iron?what about other hair styles/cuts.?

Sounds like me at your age , sans freckles. I've got the style I'm happiest with now. My hair is layered, very subtle feathering round my face, going longer in the back. Because my hair is wavyish/frizzy, If I just let it air dry naturally with a bit of Sebastian potion 9 It turns surfer girl wavy. Then if I want it straight, I blow dry on low heat using a round bristle brush to brush it straight. I use a srtaightening balm, and a silicone based serum, for frizz.

For makeup, I'm pretty low key, I use a bronze tinted brown eye shadow, with a dark brown in the inside corners of my eyes. Blend well, for a slightly slanted eyed look.

I stick with bronze based colours alot, but green eye shadow looks good too, as long as your are subtle.

For foundation, all I use is a shimmery radiance lotion. Its better for your skin ,and is reflective, so it makes your imperfections less obvious.

As for the long hair, you do need layers, I had a staight cut for years, and it flattens out your hair. Just ask around for hairdressers, cuz not everyone is good at layers(trust me)

You can always lighten up your hair with some very soft blonde highlights. Reddish hair with blonde highlights looks SO awesome. If you are really concerned with the texture of your hair you can have a straighener applied by a stylist. However, that probably damages your hair as much at once as using a flat iron over a few months does. My mom used to just tie a rag around her head before she went to sleep to make sure it would lay flat. It is hard to tell you what might look good on you because we don't know what you really look like.

if you shower at night and you wake up in the morning and your hair is wavy, spray some leave in conditioner in your hair until it's slightly damp and blowdry it. it should be a little smoother and straighter. also use some humectant. for skin, i like apricot scrub to keep myself glowing. i think red heads look awesome in any color *even if you don't think you look good in red or pink, i think you guys look great!* but brown would bring out your eyes and maybe a little blue or green

What colors would look good on you: Most colors would look good on a girl with your coloring. Green would be really nice. Pinks and cream too. And black or white looks good on everyone.

What about makeup tips: You should get a concealer and pressed powder if you don't have one already. Wear golds and browns or greens or sheer colors around your eyes. And lip gloss in any color is always good.

Hair: Have you tried using some product in your hair? Try scrunching in some mouse while your hair is still wet. That will probably encourage more curl out of your hair. I have curly hair and here are some of the products I love:

From your description of your hair, eyes, and skin tone, you would probably look good in warm colors.

Your hair sounds pretty and wavy.

Rather than fight the natural tendency to curl, maybe it would look beautiful with some texture, not perfectly straight.

If you use a product such as Paul Mitchell's leave-in conditioner (it's called The Conditioner) right after shampooing, you can comb your hair into the shape you want, then allow it to dry naturally. It will have a pretty texture and some degree of control.

Comb your hair rather than brush it and smooth on a bit of water to refresh the waves if needed.
